Protecting Paws is always in need of volunteers, foster homes, adoptive homes, donations, and supplies. We are always looking for good foster homes we really need these , help with transports, fundraising, etc. This helps produce the best match possible for the new families, resulting in a 99% success rate! We do not keep any of our animals at a central location. Remember wash those hands, practice good personal and environmental hygiene. We are a nonprofit, 501 c 3 rescue organization. We work closely with animal control, taking in many that would otherwise have to be euthanized. We foster pets in our homes until we can find loving 'forever' homes for them.

We need volunteers for lots of areas. Because we want to make sure it is a good fit for all involved, we conduct in-home meet and greets, so the dog you are interested in can meet all humans living in the home as well as any other pets. If you know the owner please tell them to contact us. Thank you Rachel Riley Hall and Nancy Watson for each taking a dog that we had no room for. We primarily focus on dogs and cats, but have also rescued guinea pigs, rabbits, pigs, goats and horses.
